핀란드에 대한 꿈

어제 오늘 사이에 부쩍~ 핀란드에 대한 관심이 많아졌다.

 

멋진 자연경관과 여유로운 삶에 대한 동경도 있지만,

가장 큰 이유는 핀란드의 교육과정과 가치관에 매료되었기 때문이다.

웬지, 핀란드에서 생활하게 되면 내가 이상적으로 생각하고 있는 일과 삶의 균형과 결혼 후, 자녀의 인성교육,

나아가 사회 공동체로 부터 오는 인격적인 신뢰와 자부심 등을 누릴 수 있을 것 같은 느낌이랄까.

그 사회 속까지 아는 것은 아니지만 핀란드가 가지고 있는 전인교육에 대한 정서를 경험한다면 훗날,

한국에서 그러한 교육에 대한 인사이트와 기여점을 발견할 수 있지 않을까 하는 생각도 들었다.

 

어제는, 내친김에 핀란드 헬싱키 대학의 박사과정을 알아보았다.

다시 현실로 돌아와 지금 당장 내 주변에 놓여있는 과제들을 살펴보면,

서른두살의 나는 아직 석사과정 논문의 마무리를 앞에 두고 있고,

취업을 위해 회사들의 홈페이지를 기웃거리고 있으며,

혀끝에서만 맴도는 영어는 아직 입술밖으로 자신있게 튀어나오질 않는다.

 

요사이 시간이 많아 다른 곳으로 시선을 돌리게되는 여유에서부터 오는 사치일까,

아님 또한번 내 가슴을 흔들며 인생의 도전이 될 수 있는 머지않은 꿈일까. 

 

인생이 어떻게 흘러갈지는 모르지만, 

언젠가 찾아올 수 있는 인생의 도전에 대한 갈림길 앞에서 이글을 본다면 지금의 열정과 설레임을

찾을 수 있을 것 같아 블로그에 기록한다.
